Build the first Pokédex in history
In previous versions, you were looking to complete your existing Pokédex — a kind of Pokémon bestiary —.
Here, it's up to you to create the first Pokédex in history.
Each creature found can unlock challenges to complete to spice up the games.
These challenges complete the sheet of each Pokémon for the benefit of the Galaxy Group of which you are a part.
The challenge is twofold, because the more you level up in the group, the more you reveal worlds to explore.
These places also contain Pokémon to catch, to complete the Pokédex and so on.

An open world to visit to find the hidden Pokémon
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
introduces a new open map system.
The slightly too linear movement is replaced by a 3D world.
During your walk, you discover places where Pokémon are hiding.
Before catching these creatures, you must approach them and observe them discreetly.
By analyzing their behavior, you are more likely to capture them temporarily.
The game has a day/night cycle during which certain Pokémon may appear.
Others can only be observed at certain times of the day.
Also, these little characters can hide in unlikely places, which will require careful search.
For example, you can find a Pokémon in a crack in a rock, on treetops, or in the middle of a lake.

A redesigned combat system for more action
The game dusts off the original combat system by reinventing it.
The traditional turn-based combat is now replaced by a system of random turns.
Depending on the Pokémon's stats, you have a greater or lesser number of actions per turn.
Along with the revamped combat system, each creature has four abilities, which themselves can be played in two ways.
As their respective names suggest, the fast style improves execution speed and the powerful style boosts the hits.
