Earlier, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield announced her intention to discuss the situation around Ukraine at a meeting of the UN Security Council on January 31.
In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian troops were deployed on the territory of the country and did not threaten anyone.
The Kremlin emphasized that Russia was not going to attack anyone.
