“Following the results of the negotiations ... the following agreements were reached: on a complete ceasefire;

on the withdrawal of each of the parties of additional forces and means, drawn to the border, to the places of permanent deployment;

on the opening of traffic on the Batken-Isfana highway;

on joint patrolling of law enforcement officers of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in border areas in order to prevent conflicts, ”RIA Novosti quotes the words of a representative of the press center of the border service of Kyrgyzstan.

The negotiations were attended by the governors of the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan and the Sughd region of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the border departments and law enforcement agencies of the two states.

Earlier, the mayor's office of the Tajik city of Isfara announced intense shooting from both sides on the border of Tajikistan with Kyrgyzstan.

The Isfara authorities also reported that as a result of shooting on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border on the Isfara-Batken road, a resident of the Tajik village of Khoja Alo died from a gunshot wound.

1,470 Kyrgyz citizens were evacuated from the conflict zone on the border of Kyrgyzstan with Tajikistan.
