The Consul General of India in Dubai, Aman Puri, revealed that his country's pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai will turn into a permanent platform to showcase India's legacy and contribute to the development of humanity.

Puri said, during the celebration of the 73rd India Day: "It is a tremendous feeling for all of us to celebrate the Republic of India Day at (Expo 2020 Dubai), the amazing global event successfully hosted by the UAE in the midst of an unprecedented crisis facing humanity."

After the ceremony of raising the Indian flag in front of the pavilion, Puri added, "I am pleased to announce that the Indian Pavilion is one of the most visited pavilions, and the pavilion will remain a landmark displaying the story of India's growth," noting that the UAE and India enjoy close brotherly relations.

The Indian Consul praised the contribution of the Indian community in the UAE, saying, "India represents one-sixth of humanity, and we will continue to contribute to this world, and through the pavilion we will show how India will transform into a two trillion economy within a period of five to seven years."

He pointed out that 200 companies have reviewed their amazing ideas in the pavilion so far, indicating that the goal is to reach 500 companies by the end of "Expo 2020 Dubai".

The celebration of India Day witnessed a full program of events, including cultural performances and patriotic songs performed by schools in the UAE, in addition to a show of drums from Punjab, and dances that dazzled the audience.
