“The very fact of the resumption of the work of the Normandy format is already a very positive signal,” Yermak said in a statement to RIA Novosti.

In his opinion, the conversation turned out to be meaningful and difficult.

Political advisers to the heads of the Normandy format expressed their support for a ceasefire, declared the existence of disagreements in the implementation of the Minsk agreements, but expressed their readiness to work on it.

“The main thing was the support of all participants in the constant observance of the ceasefire, which should operate without any conditions,” Yermak emphasized.

He noted that Ukraine is ready to continue working on the search for de-escalation.

“Ukraine is always ready for negotiations, for 24/7 meetings, because for us ... the goal is to end wars, return our territories, and today it is to relieve the tension that exists,” Yermak summed up.

Earlier, the talks of political advisers to the leaders of the Normandy format countries (Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine) held at the Elysee Palace ended in Paris.

Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, commented on the results of the last meeting and announced the dates for the next negotiations in the Normandy format.
