Having a project is good.

Doing it is even better.

And when it affects the social or environmental field, it interests the institutions.

And as the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) prefers to see its young people get involved rather than hold the walls, it has just launched a call for projects aimed at students wishing to undertake.

The MEL, with Pépite Lille Hauts-de-France and KissKissBankBank, announces the creation of the call for projects "the nuggets of the MEL", which mainly targets students in the area.

The operation takes the form of a competition during which participants must present an innovative idea with a social or environmental impact, or both.

The project may lead “to the marketing of a product or service” for specific users or customers.

You have until February 22 to submit your application.

Twenty pre-selected candidates will present their case to a jury which, at the end, will designate 10 winners.

Strictly speaking, there is no money involved.

The MEL and its partners will offer the winners support in structuring the project, setting up a crowdfunding campaign and a “wide-ranging communication campaign”.

Applications are to be submitted online from today until February 22.

The auditions of the 20 pre-selected candidates will be held in March.
