On January 26, local time, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov said that some American politicians who did not know the specific situation were discussing freezing Russian President Vladimir Putin's movable and immovable property accounts.

They do so apparently because they don't have enough expertise, as Russian officials prohibit possession of these assets abroad under Russian law.

These so-called sanctions will not affect high-level Russian officials, and the behavior of American politicians is politically destructive.
