This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov. 

He answered the question in the negative, the presidents of the two countries discussed the deployment of military bases in Cuba and the strengthening of military-technical cooperation.

Peskov noted that the synchronization of positions on international and regional issues of mutual interest is extremely important. 

“This is exactly what the leaders of the two countries were talking about yesterday,” Peskov said.

On January 24, the Kremlin press service reported that Putin and the Cuban president discussed coordinating actions on a strategic partnership.
