The Kommersant newspaper writes about this with reference to data posted on the public procurement portal.

As specified, the research contract worth 8.2 million rubles was signed on December 29, 2021.

According to the publication, the study is necessary to determine the principles of interaction between telecom operators.

“When making a call, they must exchange a valid subscriber number, eliminating the possibility of its substitution and ensuring compliance with the contract for the provision of communication services to the calling subscriber,” the GRFC said.

As the newspaper notes, major telecom operators prohibit the substitution of numbers and actively use their own anti-fraud systems.

Earlier, representatives of the fintech group IDF Eurasia conducted a survey and found out how many Russians faced telephone fraud on the eve of the New Year.
