The weather on Tuesday: gray and numerous freezing fogs in the north

The weather on Tuesday will be sunny with frequent fogs, locally freezing, according to Météo-France forecasts.

Many fogs will form in the evening and during the night.

They will be freezing in places, especially in the Grand-Est, the Centre-Val de Loire or in the valleys of the South-West.

After their dissipation, the conditions will be sunny on the Pyrenees and at their foot, from Limousin to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Burgundy-Franche-Comté with the exception of the Val de Saône caught in a thick layer of persistent greyness.

The sun will also shine in the south-eastern quarter, despite clouds in the morning towards the Var country and Roussillon.

On the other hand, from the plains of the Tarn to Poitou via the Garonne valley, the greyness will have great difficulty in evolving and may persist in places all day, as in the Agenais.

The sky will remain very gray over the northwest quarter and up to the north of the Grand-Est region, even if a few rare gaps may appear here and there in the afternoon.

Minimum temperatures will generally be between -4 and 0 degrees inland.

The maximum will go from 2 to 7 degrees on the northern half, from 7 to 14 degrees in the south, but will sometimes remain blocked at 4 degrees under the persistent grayness of the Garonne valley.
