The Investigative Committee opened a case after the death of a convict in a correctional colony in the Kaluga region

It is noted that on January 22, the body of the convict was found in the medical unit of IK-3.

“According to this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kaluga Region initiated a criminal case,” the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the region said in a statement.

To establish the cause of death of the prisoner, a forensic medical examination is being carried out, and witnesses are being interrogated.

On December 10, 2021, in correctional colony No. 6 Ishim (Tyumen region), an employee was detained while trying to transfer drugs to one of the prisoners.
