This is reported by the portal LETA with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Latvia.

It is specified that this decision will cost the Latvian side almost €4 million.

“The state of emergency is planned to be extended until May 10 in three regions of Latvia – Ludza, Kraslava and Augshdaugava, as well as in the city of Daugavpils,” the portal indicates.

In October, the Latvian government extended the state of emergency on the border with Belarus until February 10, 2022.
