“The Bloomberg publication that allegedly the head of China asked the head of Russia not to attack Ukraine during the Olympics, so as not to spoil the holiday, is a fake and a provocation,” TASS quoted a statement from the diplomatic mission.
The embassy also noted that Beijing's position on the Ukrainian issue is consistent and clear - China stands for resolving differences through dialogue.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the Bloomberg publication, calling it an "information special operation."
She noted that the Russian Foreign Ministry does not rule out provocations from Kiev and Washington before the Beijing Olympics.
