The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also expressed disappointment with the position of the German authorities on the failure to provide weapons to Kiev.

Kiev hopes for a further more proactive position of Germany in support of Ukraine and issues of strengthening the country's defense capability in the face of the "Russian threat".

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that the issue of Crimea is closed for Russia, and the referendum on the peninsula was held in strict accordance with international law.
