"Gotham City residents, be careful of the Joker vehicle."

Recently, residents of Missouri, the United States, received an emergency alert similar to this.

'Gotham City' is a fictional local name in the movie Joker, but the residents of Missouri, oddly enough, received this alert.

Moreover, the 'purple/green 1978 Dodge 3700GT vehicle' and license plate 'UKIDME' described in the disaster alert are similar to the car used by Joker's men in the 1989 movie 'Batman'.

On the 19th local time, foreign media such as CNN in the United States reported that an emergency alert reminiscent of the movie 'Batman' was sent across Missouri on the 18th.

The emergency alert sent throughout Missouri is a 'green alert', a system designed to quickly deliver information to local residents about 'violent offenders who have caused murder or serious injury or pose an existing threat to law enforcement'.

One day after the emergency alert was sent, the local police authorities clarified through SNS that "the alert was for testing purposes and is not an actual emergency alert."

Police officials said that "patrols regularly test the green alarm system to see if it is working properly when needed."

Earlier, in 2018, a warning message warning that a ballistic missile would fly from Hawaii was sent by mistake by an employee, and a tsunami warning was sent incorrectly in Chile last year, causing trouble.

Local residents of Missouri responded "disappointed" to the mistake, but also responded with humor, such as "I'll prepare my Batman cloak" and "Batman will come to the rescue."
