Volodin will hold consultations with the heads of factions to discuss the draft recognition of the LPR and DPR

“The issue proposed for consideration is very serious and responsible.

In this regard, it would be right to hold consultations with the leaders of the factions next week and discuss this initiative,” Volodin wrote on Telegram.

Based on the results of the discussion, the issue will be considered at the Council of the State Duma.

Earlier, the deputies of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation submitted a draft resolution to the State Duma, in which it is proposed to officially appeal to the President of Russia with a request to recognize the independence of the LPR and the DPR.

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the draft appeal submitted to the State Duma, recalled that "there is a certain procedure" according to which a vote should take place.
