Firefighters arrived at the scene around 8:30 a.m.
This Friday morning, a fire broke out in Plessé (Loire-Atlantique) in "an outbuilding used as a kennel", reports the departmental fire and rescue service.
“The rescue action made it possible to secure the premises where the fire had been extinguished before the arrival of help”, but several animals died in the fire.
Of the nine puppies present, three were rescued and six died, explain the firefighters.
The occupants, a 29-year-old woman and her 6-year-old son, are unharmed and did not require transport to hospital.
