This is stated in the decision of the chief sanitary doctor for St. Petersburg, published on the website of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

The document states that from January 21, until further notice, a ban is introduced on preventive examinations and medical examinations for certain groups of the adult population and children, as well as on planned medical care for the adult population on an outpatient basis, except in cases where this may lead to a threat to health and life.

Earlier, the director of the Scientific Information Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Viral Infections, Georgy Vikulov, in an interview with NSN, commented on the situation with the pandemic against the backdrop of the spread of the Omicron strain.
