Lavrov said he does not expect breakthroughs from meeting with Blinken in Geneva

Lavrov thanked the American side for the offer to hold a meeting in Geneva in the context of working on proposals for security guarantees.

On January 21, negotiations between Lavrov and Blinken began in Geneva.

The US Secretary of State also said earlier that he does not expect big breakthroughs following a meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister.
