According to Malaysia's "Shi Hua Daily" report, the mayor of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Noli Cha, said that in order to cooperate with the 2022 Chinese New Year Carnival to be held from January 22 to 29, the Kota Kinabalu City Hall Gaya Street Road, City Road and Pocket Park will be closed during this period.

  Gaya Street Road will be closed from January 22 to 29, from 5pm to 12 midnight, from Blocks A to C (Agricultural Bank to RHB Bank) for hawkers to set up their stalls.

  In addition, all parking spaces on Gaya Street, City Road and Pocket Park will also be temporarily closed from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. from January 22 to 29. The public should not park their cars there.

  Those who are interested in setting up a stall can obtain an application form from the Licensing Section of the Kota Kinabalu City Hall.

  During road closures, members of the public are required to follow law enforcement officers to direct traffic, or change routes and use car parks elsewhere to ensure smooth traffic flow.
