Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko Exchange Congratulatory Messages on the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Belarus Diplomatic Relations

　　On January 20, 2022, President Xi Jinping and President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus exchanged congratulatory messages to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

　　Xi Jinping pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 30 years ago, China-Belarus relations have forged ahead, and the traditional friendship between the two countries has become stronger as time goes by.

Under our joint leadership, China and Belarus have successively established a comprehensive strategic partnership and a comprehensive strategic partnership featuring mutual trust and win-win cooperation.

The two sides enjoy unbreakable political mutual trust, fruitful cooperation in various fields, firm support for each other on issues concerning each other's core interests, and close and effective coordination in international and regional affairs.

After the outbreak of COVID-19, the two countries have watched and helped each other and responded together, demonstrating the brotherhood of standing together through thick and thin.

　　Xi Jinping stressed that in recent years, President Lukashenko and I have maintained communication through various means and reached important consensus on developing China-Belarus relations under the new situation.

I attach great importance to the development of China-Belarus relations, and am willing to work with President Lukashenko to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to promote the China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership and the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" cooperation for more results, so as to benefit both countries and the people of both countries.

　　Lukashenko said that in the past 30 years, Belarus-China relations have been upgraded from a friendly cooperative relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership featuring mutual trust and win-win cooperation, and bilateral cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results.

It is believed that the two peoples will pass on the spirit of sincerity, friendship and mutual support from generation to generation.
