Today, the government presented a proposal for compensation to households for the high electricity price. The idea is that customers will get the money paid out via their electricity network company. - We will measure consumption and then there will be a credit on the customer's future invoice, says Jonas Persson, CEO of Karlstads el- och Stadsnät AB.
All customers who have had a consumption of more than 700 kWh are proposed to receive compensation of between SEK 100 and SEK 2,000 per month.
In some cases, this may mean that customers get back more than they paid in electricity prices.
