After SVT's review of Bok och hav - which, among other things, showed hidden costs and disputes related to the literature festival - its future looked uncertain.

But on Wednesday, the news came that the festival will resurface.

Marcus Sandekjer, chairman of the association behind Bok och hav since 2020, has himself described the festival's brand as "damaged".

- It remains to be seen what it has done for the brand.

But we need this type of event in Blekinge.

And there are many who have requested the festival.

That is why we choose to implement it, he says.

The children will give a wider audience

When the festival returns in May, there will be more changes than the new board.

Among other things, the festival will be centralized to the main square in Karlskrona.

You will also have fewer program points.

An effort is also made to reach a broader target group.

That is why the festival has enlisted the help of fifth graders at Spandtorpskolan in Karlskrona, who, among other things, designed posters and made requests for authors who will be visiting the festival.

- I look forward to seeing all the different authors and maybe even meeting them, says Malte Sandell, who himself wanted Martin Widmark, the author of Lasse-Maja's detective agency.
