Store staff lured back suspected thief via text message

At 11:45 on Tuesday, the police were called to a store in central Västerås where a customer had been robbed of his mobile phone.

Once on site, the staff had sent an SMS to the suspected perpetrator that he had forgotten a 200 note in the store.

Which led to the suspected thief returning to the store and could be arrested by the police.

After questioning by the police, the perpetrator who is now suspected of theft was released.
