On the evening of January 17, a fire accident occurred on Yanping North Road in Taipei City. Dozens of cars caught fire. Since the accident site was in a water-deficient area on Shezi Island, the water source was seriously lacking, so firefighters could only temporarily retreat to a safe location.
After the residual fire was dealt with, the local fire department conducted a preliminary investigation. Due to the stacking of some vehicles, more than 50 vehicles were burned, and most of them were scrapped vehicles.
