U.S. calls for Security Council meeting on North Korean missiles

The United States has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council in relation to North Korea's recent missile launch, AFP news agency reported, citing diplomatic sources.

Albania, Britain, France, Ireland and Mexico have joined the US Security Council request, the report said.

A diplomat, who requested anonymity, told AFP that at the request of the United States, the Security Council meeting will be held in private on the 20th.
