It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“Russia, under the pretext of joint exercises, may send forces to Belarus for a potential attack on Ukraine from the north,” the official said, without providing evidence for his claims.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko approved the plan for joint military exercises of the Belarusian and Russian armed forces.

Allied Resolve 2022 exercises will be held from 10 to 20 February.

As White House press secretary Jen Psaki said earlier, the United States believes that Russia can “attack Ukraine” at any moment.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, urged him not to replicate speculation about the allegedly impending "Russian aggression", but to force the Ukrainian authorities to implement the Minsk agreements in full.

The Russian embassy in Washington also called reports that Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine allegedly could begin between mid-January and mid-February, and Moscow allegedly could "fabricate a pretext for an attack" a fabrication and information pressure.
