Chinanews.com, January 18. According to Malaysia's "Se Hua Daily", the Sarawak Welfare Department of Malaysia will distribute Chinese New Year assistance funds for the Lunar New Year in 2022 to 6,106 poor people of Chinese descent who have been registered with the Welfare Department in Sarawak.

  Sarawak Women, Children and Community Welfare and Development Minister Sri Fatima Chen Saiming was invited to attend the charity event and said in her speech that the Ministry of Welfare, through cooperation with NGOs, can benefit more disadvantaged groups and even gain more benefits. Lots of supplies and aid.

  She said that the festive assistance provided by the Ministry of Welfare alone is worth RM50 and a red envelope of RM100. However, through cooperation with NGOs, the materials will be increased to RM100 or more for beneficiaries.

In order to maintain the order of the donation site, all beneficiaries could not be present, only 100 people could be selected to attend, and other beneficiaries received RM100 festive assistance by remittance.

  Fatima Tan Sai Ming added that the Ministry of Welfare will distribute festive aid to the disadvantaged groups of all ethnic groups during each festival every year, which is also a unique charity event in Sarawak.
