Democratic presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung once again apologized for the release of his 'profanity transcript'.

On the afternoon of the 18th, candidate Lee met with reporters after the women's committee of the Central Election Committee held the final victory resolution contest at Nuurikum Square, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and said, "Although there are circumstances that are difficult to tell, I once again caused a controversy as a public figure. I apologize." He bowed his head.

Earlier, attorney Young-ha Jang, author of 'Goodbye Lee Jae-myung', held a press conference at the National Assembly and released a 160-minute recording of the candidate's upbringing.

Candidate Lee explained, "The files were recorded by my brother and his wife at the time and were already publicly available."

He continued, "I deeply apologize because it is a part of my past and I have to take responsibility for it."

Candidate Lee said, "On the other hand, the mother who caused the problem is no longer in this world, and the older brother who caused the problem to her is no longer in this world." I would be grateful if the people would forgive me."

Candidate Lee sighed several times as if he was emotionally charged during the relevant remarks.

In particular, in the process of mentioning my mother, my eyes became slightly red.

In addition, when asked about the release of a transcript of the phone call of Kim Kun-hee, the spouse of presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol, who is the power of the people, Lee said, "It is reasonable to conduct an infinite verification of everything that will affect the president's exercise of authority." It is not appropriate for me to comment on the recording file issue. I will leave it to the judgment of the people and the media."

Also, regarding the results of the polls being equal, he said, "There is a high possibility that this election will eventually be a tie-breaker by 1~2%."

Candidate Lee went on to say, "Rather than criticizing the opponent, the strategy is to explain that we have better capabilities than the opponent and to let the people expect even a little. ." he said.

On the other hand, the Democratic Party's election committee announced that it would immediately accuse a lawyer named Jang Mo of the People's Power election committee for 'slandering a candidate' who disclosed the recording file.

"The act of selectively editing and disclosing this material illegally distributed by Attorney Jang is not only against the guidelines of the National Election Commission, but also slanders candidates and violates the Election Act," the Democratic Party's election committee said.
