On January 17, a court session began in Kiev, at which a petition is being considered for choosing a measure of restraint for Petro Poroshenko in the case of high treason and the sale of coal from Donbass.
The prosecution asked the court to arrest the former president of Ukraine for two months with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 1 billion hryvnia (about $ 35.7 million) in the case of treason.
The ex-president arrived at the meeting in Kiev from Warsaw.
