] North Korea conducted a tactical guided missile inspection and firing test yesterday, the Korean Central News Agency reported.



According to the plans of the relevant organizations, including the National Defense Science Academy and the 2nd Economic Committee, the inspection and firing test of tactical guided missiles was conducted yesterday, the Central News Agency reported.



It appears that Kim Jong-un did not attend.



North Korea said yesterday that the firing test was conducted to inspect the tactical guided missiles and verify the accuracy of the weapon system, and said that the two fired tactical guided missiles hit an island target in the East Sea with precision.



The Joint Chiefs of Staff said that North Korea fired two presumed short-range ballistic missiles at the Pyongyang Sunan Airfield on the morning of yesterday.



It is known that these missiles reached a maximum altitude of 42 km, flew 380 km, and hit the uninhabited island 'R Island' off the coast of North Hamgyong Province.



If you look at the photos released by North Korea, the missile launched yesterday appears to be a North Korean version of the A-TaKims missile.



The North Korean Academy of Defense Science confirmed the accuracy, safety and operational effectiveness of the weapon system through a test yesterday, the Central News Agency reported.



It is the first time in four years and four months since September 2017 that North Korea has fired a missile from Pyongyang, and this missile launch is the fourth armed protest this year.
