SVT Nyheter Örebro has previously reported on the pressure and the long response times for covid tests in the county.

This is to ensure that people with symptoms will be able to take PCR samples as the region is now introducing the new recommendation.

The change is that those who live with a person who is infected, or who have been close to an infected person at work, school or leisure time, are only recommended to be tested if they get symptoms.

It writes Region Örebro County in a press release.

Those who live with an infected person must still stay at home for seven days.

It applies from the day the infected person became ill.

Care and nursing staff are given priority

For staff in health and care, the recommendation to try is still valid, even if you do not have symptoms.

The region also announces that there will be a special box for the submission of covid samples in each county, which is only for staff in health and care, who work close to patients.

- In order to offer good accessibility for care and nursing staff, these boxes are also outdoors.

We would like to emphasize that these boxes only apply to care and nursing staff, and ask you to respect this for the sake of you and your fellow human beings.

It needs to be respected so that we in the county can continue to maintain staffing in health care and in elderly care, says Gunlög Rasmussen, in the press release.
