“Mrs. Teresa Ribeira, as a spokeswoman for freedom of the media, should, of course, react in a completely different way to the infringement of the rights of journalists, to the pogroms that were committed against the media,” RIA Novosti quotes Lukashevich.

In his opinion, if such events had taken place in some other country, then "probably, the reaction would have gone in a different direction."

“We were very upset and disappointed by the not quite balanced reaction from the OSCE, especially from the representative on freedom of the media,” he said.

Lukashevich also recalled that the OSCE media representatives are obliged to publicly respond to facts of violations of media freedom.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the lack of an OSCE response to the attack on journalists in Kazakhstan a shame.
