Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, attended the graduation ceremony of the 11th batch of Canadian University, "Al Wasl Square Dome Batch", which was held under his auspices at the international event.

In his speech, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan praised the selection of the Canadian University in Dubai for "Expo 2020 Dubai" to hold the graduation ceremony for its students.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak praised the efforts of the Canadian University in Dubai and its keenness to achieve success and excellence in all its programs, as well as its keenness on permanent development for the better, in addition to its growing relations with community institutions and its conscious and rational openness to all the achievements of scientific, cognitive and technical development in the whole world.

For his part, Butti Saeed Al Kindi, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, expressed his pride in graduating a new batch of Canadian University Dubai students under the “Expo 2020” dome in Al Wasl Square.

He stressed that the "Expo Dubai" is an exceptional event that crowned the achievements of the past 50 years, and became a gateway to launch towards the centenary of the future emirates, under the support and care of the wise leadership.

Al Kindi praised the achievements of the UAE with the support of the wise leadership and its forward-looking vision for the future, and thanked Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, for sponsoring this ceremony and the unlimited support of the university, which led it to achieve many achievements at the local and global levels.

He also thanked the president of the university, Professor Karim Shelly, and members of the academic and administrative bodies, stressing their important role in the university and their keenness to provide full care for its students.

In turn, a graduate of the Master's degree in Business Administration - Department of Finance at Canadian University, Shamma Al Tayer, delivered the graduates' speech.

She said: “Like every graduation ceremony, Canadian University Dubai has never ceased to amaze us and the world, and we thought that nothing could beat the Burj Khalifa batch for 2020, yet the university did it again, and we found ourselves in this historic moment. Certificates

At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan handed graduation certificates and degrees to 406 male and female graduates from the university's faculties, namely: the College of Management, Architecture and Interior Design, Communication, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Applied Sciences and Technology.

It is noteworthy that the Canadian University in Dubai is keen to celebrate its graduates in innovative and unforgettable ways, as it has previously held graduation ceremonies at Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa.
