• PP The PP regroups to consolidate the leadership of Pablo Casado with a victory in Castilla y León

  • PSOE Sánchez charges against the PP and its "political denialism" for trying to "boycott" European funds

  • Podemos Belarra supports Alberto Garzón and accuses the PP of "conscientiously lying" about the macro-farms

Alberto Garzón has inadvertently become one of the main assets of the PP in the elections in Castilla y León.

Pablo Casado has launched this Sunday in León the campaign for the re-election of Alfonso Fernández Mañueco as president of this community, promoting the controversy over the quality of meat unleashed by the Minister of Consumption and thus making the PP the staunch defender of the sector and from the field.

That the PP is going to continue hammering away at this issue has been demonstrated by the

popular

leader at the closing of the regional congress of the PP in Castilla y León, where he has taken advantage of the controversy to promote himself as "the country party" against a "caviar left" that he does not know the reality of the rural world and that he "mistreated" it.

Casado has also underlined that this controversy has revealed Pedro Sánchez to the public as a "weak" Prime Minister, who is a "hostage" of United We Can because he is not even capable of removing him and that it is in his hands.

"It has become clear that Sánchez is not going to dismiss Garzón, but I have my doubts that Garzón's men will not end up dismissing Sánchez because it depends on them. He is a hostage of Podemos, ERC and Bildu," Casado warned in León, where he has remarked that the President of the Government is only "co-president".

"The mistreatment", Sánchez's policies

The leader of the PP has demanded "rectifications" and "apologies" from the Government.

And, in contrast, he has proclaimed that Spanish meat is "the best in the world" and the Spanish winners, also, "the best in the world", which comply with all regulations.

Faced with Garzón's insinuations, Casado has affirmed that the only mistreatment in Castilla y León is that caused by Sánchez's policies.

"That's the mistreatment; not on the farms or ranching."

In addition, he has denied that there are "macro farms" because in Castilla y León there are only "small and large farms".

On the other hand, Casado wanted to send a positive message to defend that he has a project for Spain and dismantle Sánchez's accusation that the PP is a "denier" party because it is always with the "no".

The leader of the PP has replied with irony.

"Sánchez, the one with the no is no, he says that we are deniers. It's great... Surrealist," he said.

"We are a big yes," Casado proclaimed, who then gave a string of issues on which the PP is an affirmation: the unity of Spain, the Constitution, the autonomous state, judicial independence.

With that game, Casado has concluded by asking the PP and Mañueco for a "yes" on February 13.

Manueco's projects

For his part, and after being re-elected this Sunday president of the PP of Castilla y León with 98.26% of the votes, Mañueco has assured that the congress is launched "for victory" in the elections, with a "stronger" PP and united."

"We are going to stop Sánchez here on February 13," he said.

In this sense, Fernández Mañueco has exposed his ambition for this victory to help Casado in the next general elections.

"Spain needs you in La Moncloa", he said.

In his role as a candidate, Mañueco has taken advantage of the launch of the electoral pre-campaign for two important announcements. One on taxes, with a reduction in personal income tax and the application of new deductions for residing in rural areas at risk of depopulation or for moving to live in a municipality in those areas for work reasons. The other about the implantation of a baby check with a direct aid for the birth of a child.

On the other hand, the candidate has sent a message regarding the electoral pacts, emphasizing that he, unlike the Prime Minister, is not going to give in to "blackmail" to offer privileges in exchange for votes. "If someone in this community wants to play at being the Rufián of Castilla y León, they should not count on me to be the Sánchez of Castilla y León," he said. Mañueco has stressed that the region, the PP and himself are "serious people."

Previously, the mayor of Madrid and national spokesman for the PP, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has ruled that the "time of

sanchismo

is running out" and that this is how the vote of the Castilians and Leonese will transmit it.

"Sánchez has a countdown that he can no longer stop", he proclaimed, encouraging the party, as

Luis Aragonés

said , to "win, win and win again".
