“Twenty aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces (2 An-124 Ruslan aircraft and 18 Il-76 aircraft) with Russian peacekeepers from the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO arrived from Kazakhstan at the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow,” the statement says.

It is noted that the servicemen unloaded weapons and military equipment and marched to the point of permanent deployment.

Earlier, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas said that the peacekeeping contingent of the CSTO collective forces would be withdrawn from Kazakhstan by January 19.
