One of the members fired his rifle to kill a deer near homes in Morienval on December 22.

A crew of hunters from Oise was suspended for 15 days, we learned this Friday from the prefecture.

“The prefect of Oise Corinne Orzechowski has decided to suspend for 15 days the certificate of pack compliance issued to under whose responsibility the hunting with hounds concerned took place”, is it indicated in a press release.

The deer pursued that day had ended up near a hamlet and should have been pardoned, according to the regulations.

But "a member of the crew of the Futaie des Amis nevertheless fired his rifle" to shoot him down, it is underlined in the press release from the prefecture.

"This individual behavior constitutes a fault which is not acceptable", considers the prefecture which "plans" to "ask the hunter concerned to give up his weapons".

The man in question has been removed from his crew.

According to the Senlis prosecutor's office, an investigation has been opened for "endangering the lives of others" and "violations of hunting legislation".
