“We confirm our readiness to cooperate with the Zelensky family in the process of repatriating the body to Russia and are ready to speed up any relevant procedures,” the embassy told RIA Novosti.
The diplomatic mission also expressed condolences over the death of Zelensky.
“We would like to express our deepest condolences to the Zelensky family, in particular to his wife Mila Rubinchik, who became a widow under such circumstances,” the embassy added.
Earlier it was reported that journalist Mikhail Zelensky died at the age of 46.
He died while on vacation in the Dominican Republic.
