Earlier, Stoltenberg said that the alliance is ready to "put on the negotiating table" with Russia its specific security proposals for further discussion with Moscow.

In turn, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow is expecting a reaction from the United States to proposals for security guarantees within a week.
