It is after having made the point with the government, that the brigadier general Aimé Barthelemy Simporé, the Burkinabè Minister of the Armies, specified that fifteen people, without giving their identities, were arrested by the national gendarmerie within the framework of the investigation into the alleged coup attempt.

“

Two officers, 7 non-commissioned officers, one non-commissioned member and five civilians.

And at the end of the first hearings, three people were released, two civilians and a soldier.

This means that today, there are still twelve who are still in preventive detention for the purposes of the investigation.

I think we have to remain calm, the army continues its missions and remains in its posture of carrying out the missions entrusted to it.

"

According to the Minister of the Armed Forces, this legal procedure was opened following a denunciation by a soldier who was allegedly contacted by individuals to join the group in order to carry out destabilization actions against the institutions.

According to our information, financial transactions have been carried out by individuals between foreign countries and Burkina Faso.
