It was one of the sons who in contact with his teacher in the autumn of last year stated that abuse against both him and his siblings occurred at home.
This resulted in a report of concern to the social services, which in turn reported the matter to the police.
The investigation showed that the man on several occasions from the spring of 2017 abused his minor children.
Among other things with blows, both with an open and clenched hand and pulled one of them in the hair so hard that it caused hair loss.
The prosecution is based on the child interrogations that have been held and the prosecutor has also relied on legal certificates that have shown certain injuries to the plaintiff.
Threatened to kill himself and his family
The district court believes that the children's statements are detailed and credible and sentences the man to prison for 2 years and 6 months for child peace offenses, gross breach of peace and abuse in court.
The latter because he threatened both his wife to kill himself and the family if they contacted the police.
The man has denied the allegations.
