At Expo 2020 Dubai, the Republic of Paraguay sheds light on its tourism status, displaying features of its components that attract visitors from all over the world, from waterfalls to natural ski slopes, nature reserves for rare birds, and other attractive attractions.

During the "Travel and Communication Week" at Expo 2020 Dubai, Paraguay will highlight the diversity of its landmarks in a show titled "Just For You", as it is a safe destination that allows its visitors rich cultural, historical, urban and natural experiences.

José Aguero Avila, Commissioner-General of the Paraguay Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “We are taking this opportunity to highlight the reasons why Paraguay is such a desirable tourist destination.

We would like to strengthen our ties with the UAE and other countries participating in (Expo 2020 Dubai), through tourism.”

Paraguay was ranked "the happiest place in the world", and throughout its participation in the global event, its focus was on connecting water, renewable energy, and mobility, under the slogan "Creating Opportunities for Sustainable Development".

Paraguay's main exports include food commodities, especially soybeans, as well as hydropower.

Paraguay is looking to take advantage of its strategic location between Argentina and Brazil in deepening its ties, through tourism, with the UAE and other countries in the Arab Gulf region.

For her part, Director of the Paraguayan Ministry of Tourism, Joanni Keveda, said: "Our government has taken early steps to address the challenges posed by the (Covid-19) pandemic, and the public and private sectors are concerted efforts to make Paraguay a safe country for travel and tourism."

Paraguay's presentation during the "Travel and Communication Week" also highlights the health requirements necessary to enter Paraguay, presenting a detailed picture of the country as a tourist destination, and highlighting the diversity of its tourist attractions.

The Paraguay Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is located within the mobility area, highlighting the attractive landscapes of Paraguay and its resources, and presenting the authentic experience that it offers to its visitors, through impressive artworks and heritage performances.

Country of the river fleets

The Paraguay Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will focus on the theme “Paraguay Connected to Water”.

It also provides glimpses of the culture of that Latin country, through musical and dance performances inspired by diverse ethnicities.

Paraguay has the distinction of being the largest producer of renewable energy in the world, as 100% of the energy it produces is renewable.

It is one of the largest food-producing countries in the world, and the third country in the world in the size of fleets of river boats "barges", which allow it to communicate with the world through its flowing rivers to the Atlantic Ocean.
