It was in early September that the incident took place in Malmberget.

The accused men, who are between the ages of 28 and 38, are said to have taken the man's home where the assault began.

The indictment describes how the man had his hands locked with cable ties and was beaten repeatedly with a hammer.

He was also beaten with kicks and other blows.

Hood over your head

After the assault at home, he was loaded onto a truck bed and carried with a hood over his head into a forest where the assault continued.

The aggravated assault meant that the man received several injuries, including dental injuries and a fracture of the jawbone.

The background to the beating must have been that the men wanted two crosses back, but that they probably gave in to the wrong person, NSD states.

- There is nothing to indicate that the plaintiffs have been involved in any theft of motorcycles or anything else, says prosecutor Rickard Finnberg to NSD.
