"The DPRK claims to have tested a hypersonic missile," the statement said.

It is noted that, according to North Korean data, the rocket flew 1,000 km and hit the target.

It is also reported that the DPRK leader Kim Jong-un was present at the tests.

Earlier, UN Secretary General António Guterres expressed concern over reports of new missile launches by the DPRK and called on Pyongyang to fulfill its international obligations.
