Kuwait announces 50% reduction in the proportion of workers in government offices

The Kuwaiti Cabinet decided to determine the percentage of the number of workers in government workplaces not to exceed 50 percent, and each government agency determines the appropriate percentage for it, not exceeding these limits, provided that the decision is implemented from the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, until further notice, and assigns the Civil Service Bureau to implement the decision.

The head of the Government Communication Center, the official spokesman for the government, Tariq Al-Muzram, said through the center's official account on the social networking site (Twitter) today, Monday, that the cabinet called on the private sector to reduce the number of workers in workplaces to the minimum possible for the conduct of business.

Al-Muzram added that the decisions included emphasizing on workers in nurseries and children's clubs the necessity of completing immunization against the Corona virus, as well as ensuring that they adhere to the application of health requirements.

And he indicated that the Council of Ministers decided to limit the holding of internal meetings, conferences and courses through remote communication, starting from the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, until further notice.

He pointed out that the council also decided to obligate public mass transportation not to exceed the number of passengers by 50 percent, with a commitment to implement health and preventive measures from the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, until further notice.

He said that the Council of Ministers decided to entrust the General Sports Authority to emphasize the masses attending sports activities the need to complete immunization against the Corona virus and adhere to the application of health requirements.
