High-speed and environmentally friendly trains depart from the gate of "Expo Dubai"

At the Expo 2020 Dubai, an emerging European company revealed a new technology to develop high-speed, sustainable and environmentally friendly trains, at a much lower cost than other existing and existing technologies, in an effort that would make a real leap in this sector.

During a presentation by Nevomo to journalists in the Swiss pavilion yesterday, on the occasion of the week of travel and communication, the company explained that the technology of “Magril” is trains that travel at speeds of up to 550 kilometers per hour, but it is distinguished from similar projects in that it uses the rails and the already existing infrastructure. in existing railways.

Stefan Kirch, director of business development at Nevomo, said, "The new technology will save a lot of effort and money needed to build a new infrastructure for (Magril) lines, compared to (Hyperloop) fast paths." Basic, including the tube, a magnetic levitation motor, capsules, and suspension beams, as for (Magril), it dispenses with three of those four components, and relies only on the infrastructure that already exists, without the need to wait decades for its implementation.”

And he indicated that in addition to the high speed with which the Magril trains travel, they also have the advantage that they do not emit any harmful carbon emissions.

Compared with an estimated cost of between 25 and 160 million euros to develop one kilometer of different railways, Kerch said that the development of "Magril" requires only seven million euros.

Kerch stated that "Nevomo" aims to enter the Middle East market through the "Expo 2020 Dubai" portal.

technical solutions

The Magrille is one of a number of innovative mobility solutions being showcased at Expo 2020 Dubai, including Cargospeed from DB World, a hyperloop-based freight system that delivers cargo in Less time and without harmful environmental impacts, and there is also a "Hyperloop Zeleros" technology on display in the Spanish pavilion.
