On Friday, the 23-year-old skier placed second in the first event, before finally winning on Saturday, ahead of her rivals Jakara Anthony and Anri Kawamura, current leader of the general classification.

"I'm happy, and I can't wait to go to the Games, it will be a huge event," she said at the organizers' microphone just after her winning run.

In men, Benjamin Cavet took fifth place on Friday and sixth on Saturday.

On the snowboard side, Chloé Trespeuch's fine performance over the weekend in Russia can be attributed to.

The bronze medalist from Sochi-2014 (her first Games at the age of 19) has shown that she will be among the favorites again in China.

The two races of the weekend produced exactly the same podium: the Briton Charlotte Bankes made the double, Trespeuch climbed twice on the second step of the podium, each time ahead of the 36-year-old American veteran Lindsey Jacobellis.

Trespeuch had already made a podium this season in the World Cup, with a third place in mid-December in Montafon (Austria).

In the specialty World Cup standings, the Frenchwoman is second with 310 points behind Bankes, 409 points.

On the men's side, Merlin Surget took eighth place on Saturday, after finishing second on Friday.

The German Martin Nörl managed the double.

Finally, in the Nordic combined, no Frenchman entered the top-30 of the Val di Fiemme events for men, Mattéo Baud and Antoine Gérard failing in 31st place on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Among women, Lena Brocard took tenth place in Saturday's competition.
