"The prosecutor of the Tyumen region Vladislav Moskovskikh instructed the territorial prosecutors to conduct inspections aimed at identifying and suppressing the illegal production and circulation of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products and to take the necessary response measures," the supervisory agency said in a statement.

As previously reported by the Investigative Committee, nine people died in Tyumen due to methyl alcohol poisoning.

According to the Investigative Committee, they all bought unlicensed alcohol with a vodka label “Springs of Siberia”.
