"In connection with the state of emergency introduced in the Republic of Kazakhstan from January 10 to 19, 2022, the reception of citizens has been canceled," the embassy said.
The diplomatic mission noted that information on the resumption of the work of the consular department will be posted additionally.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that a crisis headquarters had been created at the Russian embassy in Nur-Sultan, which processes applications from Russians who are unable to leave Kazakhstan.
The ministry also said that there were no threats to Russian missions abroad or to Russian citizens in consular districts.
