The producer of RT Russia Mikhail Krasnov said that the team of the TV channel came from Nur-Sultan to Almaty, after which the journalists went to shoot several stand-ups in the church and went to Republic Square to pick up military equipment.
According to him, one of the war correspondents "was on the other side of the road, a car with military men drove up - they threatened with a machine gun, knelt down and forced to go into the car."
After that, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the ministry was aware of the arrest and was looking into the situation.
